I do admit that I still have struggles doing my quiet time--when chores abound, when the bed looks more tempting than reading my Bible, when I get stuck in social media, when everything else takes top priority before the Lord. And when I do, it is so easy to give in. But on days that I prioritize Him in the morning, the rest of the day unfolds better. Scripture is always on point when I read it and reminds me of the essentials and the eternal. It jolts my spirit, keeps my heart aflame for Jesus and helps me understand His plans even if it goes against my desires and wants. It increases my wisdom to help me in my experiences, and such will further increase my wisdom.
The next time you struggle like I do, keep this in mind. There are approximately 16 hours that we are awake, 960 minutes. What is 10 mins spent with God's word when it will keep the rest of the 950 meaningful and purposeful?
